In the little town of Silvertown - where the simple life is the coveted life, and Skype sessions come in with crystal clarity - a high school graduation ceremony is interrupted by a pesky tornado. After this tornado - one that was forecast in advance, mind you - touches ground in this small town, the principal attempts to finish the graduation ceremony. Lo and behold, before long, there are about a dozen tornadoes touching down in this small town - one of which is made up of fire. Yes. A torchnado, of which no attempt is made to explain it (nor the fact that a dozen tornadoes happened to pop up in the same town).

Unfortunately for the residents of Silvertown, these tornadoes combine to become the strongest tornado in history, which has the sheer power to suck up everything in its path, except for unmanned cameras which apparently can withstand 300mph winds.

In all fairness, the movie was near-intolerable, but it wasn't intolerable. Some of the plot points kept my interest, and I found myself rooting for the characters. The final climactic scene of the movie had a level of value to it: it wasn't worth the ride it takes to get there, but it also spared it from possibly being the worst disaster movie I recall ever watching.

Yet, in the end, "Into the Storm" is nothing more than an agonizingly contrived film. At least "Sharknado" knew it was making fun of itself.
