Review of Into the Storm (2014) by Abriana G — 08 May 2015
Into the Storm is a story about Storm Chasers who come to a very small town called Silverton in Oklahome to see if they can capture a tornado on film. The Storm Chasers are led by a guy named Pete who hasn't been able to document a storm in a year causing people to question his credibility.
He is hungry to find a historical storm. As the Storm Chasers head to Silverton. Trey & Donnie are two high school kids who preparing to film the graduation at their school, while preparing a time capsule video.
Their father Gary is the school Principal. Donnie decides to bail on filming the graduation to help the girl he has been wanting to date forever. Problem is there is a rare weather front that is heading right to them.
As the Storm Chasers wait, a tornado touches down and heads right for the school. What happens through the rest of the movie shows the full destruction of what a tornado can do, and the scary reality of what happens when multiple tornados touch down in one day.
In May 2015, in Oklahoma this film gave me a window of what it must be like to live in thru such destruction.
