Review of Into the Blue (1997) by Matthew H — 22 Jan 2012
Into the Blue is a rather interesting film that, though, is pretty directionless for the first two thirds redeems itself with a great last third. The underwater shots were breathtaking, every one of them. However, the acting and character development wasn't all that great. Every character somehow found some way of annoying me and we don't really know why they did what they did. I think the only solid character was Josh Brolin's, which he acted out well.
Don't expect to be blown away by anything other than the scenery. Watch it for entertainment and its good action sequences.
