Watched this movie again and you know what - It's actually really, really good. Far, far better than it has any right to be. Everything about it just works. The script it really tight with a fun and unique enough premise - great plot, perfect pacing - the lot. The direction is as solid as it gets - not flashy or distinctive or mind blowingly clever - but the camera gets in there without you ever knowing it and does its fucking job. Jessica Alba's ass even gets a montage of sorts (Great directing) - Which of course brings us to the next point, which is that it's a very sexy movie. Not above being a little trashy with the camera again, getting right on up in there when needs be.
The sexiness of course extends to the locations too which are breath taking. There's also acting in the movie, from the stars.
Okay, so the two leads only score two out of three on the Young, Hot and Talented list - but they're both fine and likable and don't have to do any real ACTING so they take nothing away from the overall product. Though Alba's ass gets its own montage so really, she brings a lot to the table. Boom, she got the fat ass!
And above all this movie is an action thriller and that's probably where it shines the brightest.
Killer set pieces with some innovation thrown in for good measure right down to top a notch climax with a real WooHoo at the end.
This bitch just works.
