Review of Into the Blue (1931) by Mark N — 23 Apr 2012
Feels like someone watched "For Your Eyes Only" and "The Deep" and tried to stretch out a plot out to fill out a modern action thriller. Visually interesting and nicely shot but lacking any real soul to take it beyond simply watchable.
The strange on/off morality of characters was really jarring and hamfisted and by the end was simply forgotten. Huge plot-holes don't really matter since it's not that serious a movie but it could have been so much more with a little care.
