Review of Into Great Silence (2005) by Ewan M — 30 May 2007
It's a good hefty three hours of viewing, and there's no narration to guide the viewer's responses, but this just deepens the intrigue of the monastic life presented here. The slowness of the pacing soon fits itself into the patterns of the monks' lives and even the graininess of this video-shot film becomes entrancing.
