Review of Into Great Silence (2005) by Carissa M — 15 Mar 2008
A one-of-a-kind documentary about a monastery in the French Alps. Granted, this isn't a thriller. The monks have taken a vow of silence. But it's still worth watching - as I watched, I started to enter into the rhythm of life in the monastery.
These men's lives testify that there are some things that are worth giving up everything. And because they don't speak much, when they do, you listen more attentively.
