Review of Into Eternity: A Film for the Future (2010) by Carol B — 30 May 2011
In the Wake of Fukushima, this film raises questions that should be addressed by everyone about the impact of the nuclear industry upon past, present and future generations. In Finland, a massive engineering project is underway, supposedly to safeguard future generations from the nuclear waste generated in Finland.
A massive tunnel and cave complex is being hallowed out beneath the cold landscape. Water and streams flow in the caves, shattering the illusion that anything buried within it would be safely isolated from the biosphere.
The invisible dangers of radiation are articulated, as well as the challenge of communicating across centuries, millennia... Only ignorance, hubris, greed and a powerful media machine can perpetuate the nuclear industry blinding humanity to its truly suicidal nature.
