Review of Intimacy (2001) by Andy D — 31 May 2007
For what this is it's a good movie. The problem lies in the premise, two people meet up for sex without knowing anything about each other but then one of the couple gets curious. This seems to have been an arty movie that was testing how far they could push the sensors and in Britain it worked as I believe this is the first film passed by the BBFC that has penitration on screen.
Ignoring the sex scenes the film is very well acted and there is a bit of tension between the couple as they start to break their self imposed rules but unfortunately I don't think that is the focus of the film just an excuse for explicit sex scenes.
