Despite the feeling that a LOT of the story has been cut out and a design style that's a little too flashy, Interview with the Vampire is a fun, gothic ride highlighted by it's poetic plot and a brilliantly morbid sense of dark humor.
It is a great shame how this would go on to inspire all future "sexy vampire" movies though.
