Review of Interview with the Vampire (1994) by Ben H — 18 Feb 2012
To see Tom Cruise as a vampire, driving a topless sports car down the San Francisco Bridge should peak anyone's interests. It's amazing to see vampires in modern day periods! This movie did a good job transitioning from then to now, showing you why there's a vampire in modern day Frisco ... driving a car.
I enjoyed watching yound Kirsten Dunst really take on a big chunk of a role at what, 13? 14? However young she was, as a youngster taking on a big supporting role as such is very commendable. Not to mention she did a good job in the role, which makes taking in her perfomance all the more better of an experience.
It was clear that Tom Cruise was the biggest name of the cast at the time. So his name comes 1st when introducing the movie to the public and he gets the most pay otherwise he's not doing your movie. But Brad Pitt receives more screen time, I guess it's just business.
It was kind of confusing because I was asking myself, "where's Cruise at? Isn't he the main go to character, I mean he received the most pay?" so following Louie (Pitt) throughout the entire story and seeing not as much Lasat (Cruise) as I was expecting kind of threw me off.
Still a good movie in my opinion though. It can satisfy anyone's craving to see a good vampire movie.
