Review of Interview with the Vampire (1994) by Anne-Julie L — 22 Apr 2012
At first, I was not sure about Tom Cruise playing Lestat... but I really was surprised, he delivered a really good performance. Kirsten Dunst is also completely amazing, I was pretty surprised to. But I truly and deeply was disappointed in Brad Pitt's performance, and I don't often say that, because he is one great actor.
But I think that Louis' character was more complex, and sensitive in the book...maybe it is just because of the direction of the movie, the vision Neil Jordan had of him should've been different from mine.
.. I also felt that Claudia's way of thinking should've been more exploited, it the book, the fact that she is like a 100 years old trapped inside a little girl's body is way more fascinating.
I was a little scared of how the film could've been made after I red the book, but I'm not that disappointed, it was a good movie, and as weird as it can be, I liked the movie's ending better than the book.
