Review of Interview with the Vampire (1994) by Cheyne L — 22 Apr 2012
Pulls you in carefully, slowly, surely, probably because it bets on your realization of the film's tenuity, a seductive shiny thing that when it works, it really shines, but often is too fluffy and theatrical, for my tastes anyways, with Tom Cruise providing the thrust that it needs to put it into credible territory, and Brad Pitt providing the humanity, to see it to the end .
. richly atmospheric with eccentric and bold costume design, a strange little fairy tale but enjoyable none-the-less ..
