Review of Interview with the Vampire (1994) by John M — 04 Sep 2012
Tera-gallons of gore = nothing. Brad Pitt's vampire, Louis, shows up at Christian Slater's apartment to tell him all about his life as a vampire. By the end of the interview, and the movie for that matter, neither you nor Slater know why you sat through it in the first place.
What seems like it could be an entertaining story about a family, however macabre, ends up being just tons of violence and blood with no reason for being. Elliot Goldenthal provides a great, gothic score.
Phillipe Rosselout is somehow trapped shooting it.
