Review of Interstellar (2014) by Gordon H — 21 Feb 2016
A Thrilling Mind-Trip of a Movie!
From director Christopher Nolan ('Inception,' 'The Dark Knight' trilogy) comes the story of a team of pioneers undertaking the most important mission in human history. Academy Award-winner Matthew McConaughey ('Dallas Buyers Club') stars as ex-pilot-turned-farmer Cooper, who must leave his family and a foundering Earth behind to lead an expedition traveling beyond this galaxy to discover whether mankind has a future among the stars. Academy Award-winner Anne Hathaway ('Les Miserables') and Academy Award nominee Jessica Chastain ('Zero Dark Thirty') also star in this landmark film.
I've certainly seen some incredible films in my lifetime, but I must say I've never seen anything quite like this! Einstein's theory of relativity takes center stage in this thrilling mind-trip of a movie! Christopher Nolan certainly has a way with creating some pretty remarkable thought-provoking films. 'Interstellar' is no different. I realize this film has been out for awhile now, but if you are like me and find the concept of space travel mixed with time travel appealing, then I highly recommend this amazing film!
