Review of Internal Affairs (1990) by Clay B — 29 Aug 2011
"Trust me, I'm a cop".
This movie, refusing to adhere to the police procedural movies that have become trite, was quite enjoyable thanks to a suspenseful soundtrack and excellent acting by the outgoing, womanizing, cunning Richard Gere as Dennis Peck, and as Andy Garcia, as the cold, calculated Internal Affairs Officer Raymond Avila. It's refreshing to see Richard Gere so far from type, and he performs admirably.
Thoroughly enjoyable, this movie is extremely underrated and is worth taking a look if you haven't already seen it.
