Review of Intermission (2003) by Michelle . — 19 Apr 2004
Oh man, I don't know what it is, but Irish and British movies just mostly don't do it for me. I guess it's a lot about the dialect why I can't fully enjoy a story. It's as if I had to watch German movies in hardcore Saxony dialect.
I'd keep cringing. But okay, it's a movie, Intermission is not a bad one, it's intense in parts. I thought the beginning was cruel when that one guy talked to that one girl and then suddenly banged his fist into her face, without a reason really, but to steal money from her suddenly.
Woah. Not nice. And it was nice to see Shirley Henderson in a movie again. She's becoming a necessity in British movies.
