Review of Interiors (1978) by Aj S — 11 Jan 2010
One of Woody Allen's serious films that I'm beginning to like more and more now that I look back on what I've seen. The story is familiar, a dysfuntional family with multiple problems. The problems are reflected in different ways which all reflect on the main conflict of the movie, the classic "mom & dad are getting divorced".
But, what makes this movie so down right interesting is Allen's script, Woody has always been a people's person writer. He knows the people, knows the surroundings ('specially NY), and knows there destinations.
I still think though, the most engaging character in the film is Pearl.
