Review of Interiors (1978) by Jon G — 04 Feb 2009
Woody Allen's ode to the great Ingmar Bergman. This formula probably worked better as Hannah and Her Sisters yet still, there are some high points in this effort. Three grown sisters witness the separation of their elderly parents and their mother's subsequent spiral into depression.
A great cast cannot make much of the usually humorous Allen's mucking about in dark themes. Geraldine Page, as the spurned mother, is particularly good.
