Review of Intacto (2001) by Ian G — 16 Mar 2008
Intacto is a very interesting film in terms of concept and style. For starters, the film stands out in terms of direction and cinematography. It's beautiful and stylish at the same time. This film's story is incredibly interesting.
It deals with the idea of being able to sell, trade, and bet lives and luck. Max von Sydow is impressive as always as the aging king of luck, Samuel. It's a film that makes you think and wonder about what you would do with your luck and how much you would risk to win it all.
It's not perfect by any means, but the interesting concept, fantastic direction, and stellar performances will leave you impressed.
