Review of Insurgent (2015) by Logan M — 31 Jul 2015

Although with a unsuccessful use of its well known actors, who played very little parts in the film (Octavia Spencer, Kate Winslet, etc.), it's a solid, driving action flick, where Shailene Woodley, who I will continue to admire her acting career, brings depth to the franchise, which in the films, the dystopian failed to distinguish itself too much.

I enjoyed the novel very much, and it's my favorite in the series, yet the film is missing the magic that Veronica Roth brought to the book series. However, exciting action scenes being perfectly executed by Robert Schwentke and a promising ending, the film balances itself quite well.
