Review of Insurgent (2015) by Martin G — 04 Dec 2015
Mid-entry of the Divergent trilogy of novels, this is a film NOT to watch without having seen the first one, as it assumes familiarity with the events of that film (Divergent) right from the off.
From what I remember, while the broad strokes are the same as in the novel, this does takes occasional liberties with the intricacies - then ending, in particular, is almost like saying "that's all, folks!", with the rest of the film being curiously uninvolving.
