Review of Insurgent (2015) by Atlas D — 09 Jun 2015

First things first- I am a huge fan of the Divergent Trilogy (books). As a fan, I was expecting great things. Watching the trailer, I was very frightened that they (movie makers) changed the entire Insurgent book plot. After watching the movie, It confirmed my fear, they (movie makers) changed the entire plot (not only Insurgent, but also the two parts of Allegiant.).

Not only did it have a terrible plot line (Just going around killing everyone. Really?!), but the movie itself was terribly boring. Some people might find a couple walking around a city and sacrificing each other supper exciting, but I for one, absolutely did not. It's just a disappoint for a movie that was given so much hype. In all reality, it deserved a new director and screen-play writer.

I know that the movies are not supposed to be exactly like the book, but this was horrendous. From the POV of a reader of the book, they changed the plot line. Flat out changed it. Some people might say it's so great changed but it was even greater the way it was before. People who haven't read the book might have found it okay. I can't really say anything because I've read the book. But beside the part of me not liking the plot line because of the lack of resemblance to the book, I found it boring. I know the only thing getting me through the movie was Theo James.

The only reason I gave it two stars was because of Theo James and Shailene (sorry if I spelled that wrong!!) Woodly. Other than that, the movie deserved one star.
