Insurgent from beginning to end must have been intended to be a documentary on the history of all narrative and scifi motion picture cliches.

Even trapped in my seat for twelve hours over the Atlantic, I could not stomach this movie for longer than forty five minutes.

Acting is shallow to the point that it renders SNL style cue cards reading absolute Master Class performances. It seems the actors showed up thinking they were shooting a post apocalyptic reality show. The mood swings, the inconsistent facial expressions, bodies that move like robots, characters that are so one dimensional this should have been an animated series -- wait most of those have more depth that Insurgent.

Woodley is terrible, just terrible. But then look at the lines she has to "read" with a straight face. I do not envy her and I can see why she comes across inconsistently upset throughout the movie -- if I had those lines I too would be upset. James phones in the whole thing, perhaps even e mails it in. I am not sure he is more than a cut out that they placed in front of the green screen. One of my favorite actresses of all time Kate Winslet unfortunately finds her way back into this "Bring It On II" Sequel and plays the icy vixen evil character. She too is sleeping. You think those are her eyes, no they are painted pupils on her eyelids.

My recommendation is the only way to follow up this career ender for all involved is to make another sequel titled "Detergent" that's a musical ending to this ill fated, regurgitated, barely there storyline, and ill attempt at movie making.

All these years over the Atlantic, I never needed Dramamine. This movie made me sick to my stomach. I suggest they use Dramamine as the sponsor of their next movie -- better yet just take the Dramamine themselves and stop making awful movies.
