Insurgent is full of great actors with tremendous talent, weighed down by a film and script that takes itself way too seriously for its own good. There are too many plot holes to count and characters often do things that seem way outside what would be normal for them.
Events happen out of convenience to the plot instead of necessity which lead to unrealistic and somewhat irritating advances in story. In short, this ridiculous movie is way too serious to be enjoyable despite the great performances from its fantastic cast.
