In a world where young adult adaptations are always around the corner, "Insurgent" is not the worst but certainly not the best. It has exciting moments and a unique enough premise but the movie feels a lot more like filler compared to the first one.
Shailene Woodley is still great and likable as Tris and her performance keeps the movie afloat and worth a watch. It's an enjoyable ride that does suffer from dragging moments and the feel that not a lot really happens, but it is a good enough sequel that should please fans of the first one.
