Anthony Hopkins nailed this role as a anthropologist who left society to live in the jungle with Apes for two years. He kills two poachers when they invade his Ape family and is put in a mental institution where he refuses to speak and has adapted animalistic ways.
Cuba Gooding Jr plays the Psychiatrist who works to try and bring him back to human society but instead learns from him, very good movie.
