And I thought the original was a joke. disney seems to like churning out sequels to 'hit' movies without any sense of direction or any idea what the plot should be.

All they probably say is "okay, I want to make a sequel to Mulan, Inspector Gadget so let's get started. dont worry about the script, we'll write it after we finish filming. and I know! We'll add the latest pop music styles into the soundtrack to attract the teenagers! they'll love a Disney straight-to-DVD sequel to a movie who's original was bad anyway if their favourite songs are slapped loudly against the colourful blur of unfunny slapstick and childish action!".
