Review of Insomnia (2002) by Jamie M — 02 Jan 2012
Christopher Nolan proves himself the new master of suspense and the psychological thriller with this dynamically more entertaining remake. Set under the never-ending daylight of Alaskan summer, Al Pacino plays the guilt-ridden cop role to perfection as his lie and his sanity unravel with every minute that he fails to sleep.
Robin Williams gives an equally spine-chilling performance as the murderer who is the only man who knows Det. Dormer's (get it?!) own murderous secret.
