Review of Insomnia (2002) by Daniel P — 09 Jul 2012
Lilting, moody, slow-paced, driven. Watching this made me feel like I had insomnia and needed sleep. Still, it's a good story. Themes of guilt, being trapped, predator vs. prey, the right side of justice etc.
etc. I watched it mostly because of the director, and I thought it was pretty good. It's a long one though and you need a fair amount of time to watch it. It's a good movie! Lots of grey cinematography, slowly developing story arcs, and a good twist you half-expect.
If you really wanna watch this one though you need to be able to sit down and watch it. Really dedicate your attention to it. Otherwise you'll get bored or just fail to understand it. Really only for the dedicated watchers.
