Review of Insomnia (2002) by Roberto L — 17 Jul 2012
Insomnia might be one of Nolan's most ignored or unknown film to date I can't find the reason why because it has everything a successful psychological thriller should have: a simple story yet captivating, a good director, and a cast that could make the film a little bit more believable.
From the beginning of the film I found something quite surprising: Insomnia was not written by Nolan nor his brother. Is that so important? Well, yeah! Its actually the most important thing! You ever seen HIS Chris' written & directed films? His dialogues are way better than the ones what see on this remake. In conclusion nobody makes better written and directed films than Christopher Nolan.
Al Pacino still is by far one of the best actors out there, his solid performance made the film a little bit more enjoyable, same thing goes to Robin Williams one of the most underrated actors.
Christopher Nolan sure knows how to entertain the audience and keep theme steady on their sits trying to figure out who is the REAL villain of this story.
