Review of Insidious: The Last Key (2018) by Miss S — 05 Jul 2018

I LOVE horror films, Insidious used to be my favourite. I really enjoyed the first one, and the second was quite interesting and offered the scary, paranormal energy to it, however to me, the third fell short.

I was NOT impressed with the story line, nor was I impressed seeing the two young female girls in the movie acting as they were. The scene where the one girl is in the basement and she's heavily panting like a frightened dog, the camera angle of course zooms up on her bust.

THEN once the girl follows Elise' footsteps, and drifts into into the paranormal world, there's a scene where the ghost / malevolent spirit is walking the two young girls like dogs. They have collars around their neck, and gags in their mouth, literally immitating a fetish sexual play some endure in.

I did appreciate Elise reconnecting with family in this film, however the rest of the movie was cheap scares, a strong attempt to use the young girls as sexual attraction in the film,and a lack of the original horror, fright and intensity the first Insidious brought. I was disappointed!
