Review of Insidious: Chapter 3 (2015) by Craig F — 06 Jul 2015
Lin Shaye and Stefanie Scott are quite good throughout a chilling buildup but the climax seems a bit silly after the strength of the first two films. The score is exceptional as always and it is nice to see the story come full circle despite that horrible, empty jump scare at the end.
As with the first two, the horror is in what's waiting but here it feels as though the film is about the end destination rather than the journey. Overall strong final act to a surprisingly good trilogy.
