Review of Insidious: Chapter 3 (2015) by Yelsew Z — 04 Aug 2015
The prequel to the Insidious franchise comes Insidious Chapter 3, this installment follows a young girl named Quinn. Quinn, still trying to get over her mom's passing, is trying to get in contact with her.
She approaches medium, Elise, as you may know her from the first two Insidious films, to ask for help contacting her mother. When I first heard they were making a 3rd Insidious film, I was excited because they were continuing the story that they left off from Chapter 2 but when I heard that it was a prequel my hopes just sunk.
Usually when a franchise, especially a horror, gets a prequel, you know that they're going on a downward spiral road to failure. Not with Insidious Chapter 3. It was surprisingly a decent prequel.
Lots of scary moments that are Insidious style. Overall, a good film, better than I expected, still not as good as the original, but better than the 2nd one. Watch it if you are looking for a good horror/drama film.
