Review of Insidious: Chapter 3 (2015) by Chris V — 08 Oct 2015
Tied the other two in without the long winded reveals that chapter 2 threw at us. The end is what you're ultimately waiting for. This was a more intimate portrait and the scares were almost irritating.
I didn't really care about the main demon after a while because he just wasn't that scary once he's shown. *spoiler alert* the utilization of Elise's husband who had passed made you care for her which only made sense when you see what happens in the meeting of the main evil entity.
This film was less tricks and more subtly. Which I think works against it. Not a terrible installment but because you had the answers from chapter 2 rolling in your head while watching this you are looking for as many clues as possible.
The only answers given are what you pretty much already knew. Disappointing. The last 15 minutes seem to be all you need.
