Review of Insidious: Chapter 3 (2015) by Andreia C — 31 Oct 2015

I can't give this movie a rating lower than three stars because of Lin Shaye. Her character's background is well made, and since the previous two Insidious movies everyone became attached to Elise Rainier, she's the soul of the Insidious movies. But the supposed story of this haunting is rather weak and the only time it was good was when stuff from the previous movies came in and we were like "oh that is where this comes from", which is something I appreciate in the Insidious movies, all the connections and clues they leave us. But this haunting is pretty weak and too much "The Exorcist" inspired, with no sense whatsoever.

I want to see more of the Insidious franchise because I really enjoy seeing Elise and the gang, and the complicated world of "The Further", I just hope if there is a next one, that they continue where they left off on the end of Chapter 2 and give us more insight on the Lipstick-faced Demon.
