Review of Insidious: Chapter 3 (2015) by Andrew N — 24 Jan 2017
It was engaging for about 65 minutes; more for what I didn't see than what I did see. They didn't drag out the family drama - it moved pretty quickly from Quinn being haunted to Quinn's family doing something about it, unlike poor Renai in the first 2 movies.
No psychiatrists talking about stress, PTSD or stages of grief. Elise's grief lasted a little long but only because there's no end game without her. There was no long drawn out back story of the evil ghost.
But the end is all the horror movie tropes jammed into scene after predictable scene and the happy ending. *sigh* I hope this is the end of this franchise.
