Review of Insidious: Chapter 2 (2013) by Moana-Marie S — 07 Jan 2014
Patrick Wilson steps up his game in this one. The score is also well done. For a sequel of a horror movie, the story was very ambitious. It didnt just feel like a cash in. There was some effort put into the story, and it had some closure, which is strange in a horror movie.
It was also cool to see the ghosts receive some back-story/characterization, which is also refreshing. That being said, the story felt jumbled at times. Also, the humor felt forced. If you enjoyed the first, you will certainly enjoy this one.
Otherwise, I would probably pass.
