Review of Insidious: Chapter 2 (2013) by Chintz Z — 06 Feb 2014

Better than the first one. It doesn't constantly flip flop on what type of tone it's going for. From start to finish Insidious Chapter 2 attempts to scare you and attempts to weave a mystery that span before the first film, the first film, and the second film.

It embraces the crazy train aspect of the first movie that came out of nowhere in the second half...and this film is better off for it. It's an intriguing film, one that might not keep you guessing (you don't even need to be on Encyclopedia Brown's level to figure this one out) but it's still an intriguing film and Wan as always is a master director.
