Insidious: Chapter 2 is decidedly higher on humor than horror, but it successfully builds on its predecessor's chilling tale with the addition of shocking surprises and twists -- along with a deeper focus on the central antagonist's backstory to deliver considerable depth to a horror series that truly deserves it.
