Review of Insidious: Chapter 2 (2013) by Adam B — 12 Jul 2014

Whilst the first insidious is creepy and tense throughout, this dips in and out of the spookiness and doesn't ever actually reach the same level as scariness as the first. The backstory they've created is disturbing, but to be honest creating a backstory may have actually slightly ruined the first film.

I don't need to know why the ghost is evil, all I want to know is that the ghost looked terrifying! Their were also parts of the 2nd that merge with the 1st and apparently the actions of the characters of the future are the reason things happened to those same characters in the past, which quite frankly wasn't needed and tried to hard to make the film some complex idea.
