Review of Inside Out (2015) by Carlos D — 09 May 2018
Inside Out was released on June 19,2015. This Disney Pixar film is filled with emotions. This movie takes us behind the scenes of our brain. Inside Out is an animated movie about brain chemistry and our emotions.
The movie focuses on five main emotions. These emotions are joy, sadness, anger, fear, and disgust. These are all the characters that live in Riley's brain, the main character. These five emotions are controlling Riley's feelings.
Riley is an eleven year old girl that loves to play hockey and she loves her parents. All of her life has been filled with joyful memories, but all of this changes when her parents decide to move from Minnesota to San Francisco.
The transition from Minnesota to San Francisco changed all of Riley's emotions. She had to go to a whole new different city. She had to go to a new school and make new friends. All of these experiences are making Riley feel home sick. She starts to replace most of her emotions with anger towards her parents.
The director of this film, Pete Docter, leaves the audience amazed. This movie doesn't just talk to children. This movie relates to all of us because we all have emotions and we all go through changes throughout our everyday life.
Each one of the five emotions has their own color so it can be easier for us to tell who is joy, or sadness, or any other emotion. Overall Pete Docter did a great job with this movie. Inside Out was a successful movie. This movie helps provide a deeper understanding on how our brain works and how it gets affected by everything we do.
