Review of Inside Out (2015) by Elsie S — 17 May 2018
The movie "Inside Out" was released on the big screen on the 19th of June 2015. This animation was produced by the famous duo, Disney and Pixar. The film begins by showcasing Riley's (Kaitlyn Dias) infant hood up until the age of 11. Moving from Minnesota to the Golden Gate Bridge of San Francisco, California. As she becomes home sick leading into the conflict.
Riley having mixed "emotions" about her life and family. This is when 6 characters and more introduced her "emotions". These crazy colored filled characters are known as Joy ( Amy Poehler), Disgust (Mindy Kaling), Sadness (Phyllis Smith), Anger (Lewis Black), and lastly Fear (Bill Hader). While two emotions go missing the rest try to control her. To then go back home "rethinking" everything. As she then becomes happy with her new life and home.
Throughout the movie color fills the screen with imagination. Making sire emotions were portrayed through the colors. When dull and gray it indicates depression and suspense. When full of color its happiness and Joy. I feel this movie is not only great for children but adults as well. Showing that kids having multiple moods and what parents should expect. Just be ready with the tissues as well as the issues.
