Review of Inside Out (2015) by Genesis G — 23 May 2018
This literal emotional film that was released on June 19 was directed by Pete Doctor. The film showed and gives the audience the illusion of how the mind of a human works. The main characters were Riley and Joy.
Riley is the person with many other moods in her brain. Joy,Fear,Anger,Disgust and Sadness are the emotions that control Riley throughout the film. These emotions take over Riley with a table full of buttons, her reactions are controlled by them.
Riley has core memories that can not be forgotten, because then her islands fall apart (family, goofball, honesty, hockey, friendship ). One of the emotions Sadness losses one of her core memories. Joy attempts to return the memory before all islands fall apart.
As Joy attempts to save Riley's happiness she meets Riley's imaginary friend "Bing Bong" . Bing Bong helps Joy save the islands through memory lane and everything goes back to normal.
Sadness was played by Phyllis Smith, her role was played very good. The way her character always stayed upset was good. Joy was played by Amy Poehoer , one of the main emotions in the film was played amazing.
Anger was cast by Lewis Black and Fear was cast by Bill Hader. The film overall was exciting to watch and struck the audience.
