Review of Inside Out (2015) by Armando G — 01 Feb 2016
Incredibly effective, splendid to the eye, and crushingly heartfelt. This movie has not just changed the way we look at children's emotions, its influenced people of all social sciences to see ourselves in different ways.
Pixar has always brought us out of our homes and into new wonderful arenas of enviroments, going out as far as space in Wall-e. Yet this movie takes a whole new approach to cinema, going into the depths of the universe everyone has, their mind, and opening our eyes to what we truly hold.
It testifies incredibly to the necessity of emotions. Even the unconverted will have to admit that the thesis is important to understanding why we have "negative" emotions like sadness, disgust, anger, and fear in our lives, and whilst joy is important, in order to live fully, we must express fully what we feel.
Pixar has never let us done yet and this movie completely testifies the power of art, magic, and emotion that it brings to the world of Cinema.
