Review of Inside Out (2015) by Johnnlee — 18 Jun 2015
Very interesting and different from many other Pixar films. The humor is alright. It also lacks an emotional punch, unlike 'Toy Story' or 'Up' just to name a few. But that's not a major flaw as it's very creative, has well developed characters, smart, and it's relatable, as most of us have been through these emotions and experiences. We do and once had gotten angry, frightened, sad, disgust, and have joy. Pixar really showed these experiences with Riley by having joy for her family's moving, disgusted by her house, frightened by the foods, sadden for not having friends, and angry by running away. We also see Riley's imagination or Goof Land fading away as she ages which is a nice detail.
Pixar's on the right track and hopefully they stay on that track.
