Review of Inside Out (2015) by Steven V — 27 Dec 2015
As we grow up we all go through personal issues. They all make us feel different feelings. What if the feelings were just parts of our personality inside us? Certainly that would be weird but that's exactly what happens in the film "Inside Out" released June 19,2015. The main 5 feelings: Joy, Sadness, Disgust, Fear, and Anger. Riley, the main character, was living in her midside life has now been moved to San Francisco due to her father's new job. Joy and Sadness end up leaving HQ on accident, which means she loses these feelings. Riley ends up getting in plenty of issues because of this. Later the other 3 emotions Anger, Disgust, and Fear put an idea in Riley's head to go back to her old home. Finally, Joy and Sadness return to HQ and Sadness is finally allowed to do her role, unlike before. Riley ends up being happy w/ her new home. The main issue for Riley is that she loses her main attributes and without them she loses those emotions, ruining relationships and memories.
The creative element in the movie is absolutely crisp. The color in all the movie is absolutely how its supposed to be, especially on the characters. As well the mood to the movie goes great due to the movie dedicating on a young girls emotions. The setting of the movie is beautiful from all the islands to just the HQ.
The movie was packed with Joy and Sadness. The motion pictures were colorful and very emotional just like all the sad parts. The perfect amount of funny, but as well seriousness added into the film. The fact that Sadness was pushed away as if she wasn't needed but with all good you need bad.
Personally, I think that this film was a success. The colors were on point and also the emotions fit for the perfect scenes so it could reach the watchers.
