Review of Inside Out (2015) by Vinny G — 26 Mar 2016
So the first view of the parents we get is that the mom is depressed and the dad is anger and violent based on which emotions lead. They also show kids it's okay to steal from your parents and run away from home.
Nice values. The emotion's idea is an interesting concept for a movie, but it was cliche, childish, boring and dragged on forever. The voice acting was good as well. Usually these kids movies, but also made with adults in mind are at least entertaining and have a few good jokes for both the young and old audience, but this was a bore.
There was a brief and somewhat touching ending, but not enough to make the movie overall enjoyable. Far too few laughs and bright spots. Really confused and shocked that it got so much acclaim and won awards.
