This movie shows all the important emotions a person goes through daily and how they impact our lives. The main character Riley a girl age of 9 has to move from Minnesota to San Francisco and is forced to adjust and also her emotions.
The director Pete Doctor illustrates the emotional distress that a big change such as moving homes may depict in real life. In the film we are given the four basic emotions: Joy, Sadness, Anger, Disgust and Fear.
One of the main plots is that Riley is having trouble adjusting to her new home and new school.
