Review of Inside Man (2006) by Kartik A — 01 Aug 2010
This Spike Lee joint was one helluva heist film. Though it was script meant for Ron Howard, I think Spike Lee has done a great job giving the movie a simple yet powerful look. The movie boasts a very perfect and engulfing script which draws you into the movie soon. The movie carries with it a feel, which has been reflected in each and every scene. Performances by Clive Owen, Denzel Washington, Chiwetel Ejiofor and Jodie Foster stand apart as something worth remembering after you come out of the movie. The Dolly sequences are well made and photography too compliments the script exactly, blending very well into the scenes. The song "Chaiyya Chaiyya" when the titiles are rolling before and after the movie make us proud. Kudos to Rahman sir, for giving the song.
Neatly made, blending the script with performances to remember, refining it with a good photography make this film a must watch.
